Postdoctoral researcher
in the Eisenberg lab at UCLA
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Energy (UCLA-DOE) Institute for Genomics and Proteomics.
My research focuses on protein misfolding and the associated neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s. I use biochemical and structural biology tools with single molecule biophysical techniques to investigate the basis of and misfolding of proteins into the amyloid state.
I aim to understand the structural basis of pathogenic and functional states of amyloid in order to develop small molecule therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases.
